What are reasonable adjustments?
- Providing an appointment at the beginning or end of the day to avoid long waiting times.
- Flexible appointment times – you choose what time is best for you to facilitate carers.
- Double appointments if needed to allow for good communication.
- Multiple investigations organised for the same day – reduce repeated visits – reduce anxiety.
- Support to desensitise prior to the appointment where needed.
- Planning for the episode of care.
- Making sure we know the individuals likes and dislikes, communication and how they express pain.
If you require reasonable adjustments for your appointments please let the staff at the practices know.
