Covid vaccinations only at Buckshaw site from Monday, January 18
Posted on 8 Jan 2021
AS part of our major drive to distribute the Covid vaccine to our patients as quickly as possible, we are dedicating as much capacity as we can to this task.
With this in mind, we would advise that we will be closing our vaccination centre Buckshaw Village Surgery to all other appointments from Monday, January 18.
This will enable us to step up the vaccination programme to our maximum capacity at the site and help us to continue with this huge project as swiftly and safely as possible.
All other patient appointments from this date will be redirected to one of our other five surgeries and each patient affected has been advised in advance.
Contacting the surgery via telephone durign this period will operate as normal via the usual number and to assist our patients, we have made provisions for increased phone access.
We would point out that when a similar move took place just prior to Christmas, we were able to successfully vaccinate more than 1,000 patients in a 48 hour period.
We thank all our patients in advance for their co-operation on this matter, and we will advise as soon as the site returns to normal operation.
