Covid vaccination progamme – Important Update Posted or Updated on 15 Feb 2022

We are pleased to be able to advise that the next eligible patients will soon be offered their Covid vaccination. You will be invited via SMS or letter soon.

The programme follows the Government guidelines in priority order using the cohort system.

To ensure as many patients as possible can be vaccinated as soon as possible, NHS England have decided to direct different patient groups to regional mass vaccination centres.

Therefore some patients will soon receive an invitation by letter to book at a mass vaccination centre rather than at Buckshaw Village Surgery.

If you are unable to attend the mass vaccination centre or would prefer to have your vaccination administered at Buckshaw Village Surgery then please contact us.

We receive limited volumes of vaccine each week and will therefore invite patients continuously. Please rest assured eligible patients will be contacted.

We are also pleased to confirm that we will commence second dose vaccines in early March. Patients who have already had their first vaccination will be contacted for their second appointment via SMS or letter.

We will continue to provide further updates the Covid vaccination programme via the website and our Facebook page immediately that any further information is to hand so patients are encouraged to check our website regularly.
