Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane Chorley and Lostock Hall surgeries are kept fully informed of news relevant to them. We hope these updates continue to prove useful.
Holiday Vaccinations
The holiday season is almost upon us and if you think you may require vaccinations for your trip abroad, now is the time to act.
To see if you need jabs for your holiday, download a request form from our website at https://www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk/.
Click on the ‘Online Services’ tab then the ‘Who to See’ link under the ‘Book Appointments’ section then scroll down to the ‘Travel Vaccinations’ link.
After completing the form, click the ‘submit’ button and the form will go to your chosen site where our nurses will then check it to see if vaccinations are needed.
If so, they will make an appointment for you.
Alternatively, you can call at any of our surgeries to pick up a hard copy, and you can then drop off the completed form at the reception desk at your own surgery.
You’re advised to submit your form at least eight weeks before you travel to allow time for processing and appointments to be made, otherwise we may not be able to arrange your appointment in time and you’d need to use a private clinic where you’ll be charged.
Building Work at Buckshaw Village Surgery Continuing
The planned work on the surgery building at Buckshaw is expected to continue for some time and the scaffolding affecting part of the car park is still in place.
The disabled car park spaces are temporarily relocated to the opposite side of the car park and there are also fewer than normal spaces available.
Patients should allow extra travel time for appointments in case they need more time to find a parking spot.
We apologise for any inconvenience and will advise as soon as the work is completed.
Temporary Surgery Closure
Just a heads up to advise all patients that essential training which is being delivered to NHS staff nationwide is taking place a week on Tuesday, June 10
On this date all our surgery sites will close at 12.30pm on the day and all phone lines will also be closed from this time.
There are no pre-booked appointments on this afternoon.
Homeless and Ukraine Appeals
The situation in Eastern Europe remains critical and The Chorley Support for Ukraine group are still gratefully accepting your donations of toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets and towels.
The Chorley Homeless Group are also appealing for similar items.
You can drop off donations for both appeals at any of our surgery sites during opening hours, and feel free to mark your bags of donated items accordingly if you have a preference as to which appeal you wish them to go to.
