Notice to AMC patients Posted or Updated on 20 Feb 2024

The branch surgery location of Medicare Unit Surgery at Lostock Hall which has been offering a limited access service since the pandemic will soon be permanently closed for patient services.  

The decision has been made as the building is no longer fit for purpose for patient services.

We would like to assure all patients that there will be no impact to patient access or care as you will continue to access services from all our locations, including The Village Surgery, Lostock Hall which is less than 100 metres from Medicare Unit and was recently fully refurbished to meet modern primary care patient needs.

The date of closure is yet to be confirmed but is expected to be withing the next 3 to 6 months. The exact date will be communicated when established.
