Covid Vaccination Programme - URGENT UPDATE Posted or Updated on 15 Feb 2022

We are pleased to announce that we have now completed our initial vaccination programme for our patients in cohorts 1-4 of the Government Covid vaccine categorisations.

All our patients in these four cohorts have been invited for their first vaccinations and 98% of these have now come forward and received their first dose.

We have also administered vaccinations to more than 1,800 health and social care staff and have now completed more than 4,000 vaccinations in total so far.

We have now been advised that NHS England are now redistributing vaccines to locations where these cohorts still remain unvaccinated, and to this end we would advise that no further vaccinations will take place at our dedicated centre Buckshaw Village Surgery this week.

We are currently awaiting information on the recommencement of the programme and whether this recommencement will see the next priority cohorts dealt with or whether second doses will be administered to those who have received their initial dose.

We would stress that as per previous advices, WE WILL CONTACT ALL PATIENTS as soon as their vaccination appointment becomes available and it would greatly assist us if patients would therefore not contact us by phone or email on this issue.

Please note that we will update this website and our Facebook and other social media accounts as soon as any further information becomes available.
