New Phone System - IMPORTANT
We are pleased to confirm that the new phone system is now in full operation, and we would ask ALL our patients note that 01772 376600 is now the contact number for all our sites.
Any patients calling the old numbers will be redirected accordingly, and this redirection service will continue until August.
However, we would advise that an external fault entirely beyond our control, which has been causing callers using the old numbers to be cut off when they approach the front of the queue, is continuing to cause problems.
We would therefore stress the importance of using the new number given above for all inquiries and requests.
When connected via the new number, patients will hear a list of options and their call will be directed accordingly.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Covid Vaccination Programme
Our programme is continuing at our main vaccination hub Buckshaw Village Surgery.
If you are in an eligible category, please make your booking via the online NHS Booking System at www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination or by calling 119.
You should choose Buckshaw as your preferred site for vaccination, and you will need to book both appointments for both doses to complete your booking.
We are aware that texts have been sent by central NHS communications advising that the nearest centre is now Jubilee House at Leyland.
Please note that this is incorrect and Buckshaw Village Surgery remains in use for vaccinations for the present time.
We will be moving the clinics to the Leyland site in due course but this is only expected to take place in mid-June and current arrangements are continuing until we advise otherwise.
Welcome to our new deputy Practice Manager
We are delighted to welcome Louise Harrison to the group as our new Deputy Practice Manager.
Louise is a chartered accountant with more than 12 years experience working in accountancy practices.
She will be responsible for the finance function across all the sites in the NM Health Innovations group as well as assisting our Practice Manager Aimee Clay in a range of tasks.
“Seeing the hard work and dedication of our NHS keyworkers during the Covid-19 pandemic inspired my career change and I am keen to use my skills and experience to help deliver a first-class primary care service for our patients,” said Louise.
Qualified Staff Required
We are urgently looking for registered nurses, pharmacy technicians and qualified pharmacists to assist our dedicated and friendly team with the rollout of our Covid vaccination programme.
These are paid positions on a locum basis and shifts are immediately available from this week onwards including regular weekend shifts.
The work is initially based at our main vaccination hub Buckshaw Village Surgery though the programme will be transferring to Jubilee House, Leyland next month.
To apply, please forward brief personal details to Tracy Muttucumaru by email on CSRCCG.buckshawadmin@nhs.net and you will be contacted back immediately.
