Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all our patients are kept fully informed of all developments at Buckshaw Village Surgery, Croston and Adlington Medical Centres, our sites at Lostock Hall and on matters affecting former Eaves Lane Surgery patients. We hope these regular updates will continue to prove useful.
Our New Chorley Surgery – OPENING DATE CONFIRMED
We are delighted to advise that the opening date for our new Eaves Lane Surgery has been confirmed and the facility will open its doors on Monday, April 24.
The state of the art surgery is part of the Tatton Gardens development at the south end of Eaves Lane and faces out onto the main road where the main entrance is located.
We will have a resident GP on site and our clinical team at the site will also include practice nurses including a specialist respiratory nurse and a healthcare assistant.
We also have a reception and administration team in place ready for the opening.
Please note all patients of our former Eaves Lane surgery site will be automatically registered at the new site, so do not need to do anything further, and we will also shortly be accepting new patient registrations.
More details will follow in the days leading up to the opening of the surgery site.
Enhanced Access Service
We are pleased to confirm that a new improved Enhanced Access Service is now in place at our Buckshaw Surgery site and will be fully operational from this Saturday, April 1.
This is essentially an improved version of our previous Enhanced Access Service as it will see a big increase in the number of appointments available and all these appointments will now be available exclusively for patients registered at our own sites.
The service will run as before from 6.30pm to 8pm every evening from Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
There will be a GP available on site at Buckshaw at all these times and other clinicians will also be available with all the clinical team having full access to your records.
To make an appointment, please contact your own surgery in the usual way.
We hope to further improve this service in the coming weeks and will advise via this newsletter and our website and social media outlets of any other changes.
Abuse of Staff
We would like to remind all our patients that as an employer we have a duty of care for the health and safety of all our staff and we will not tolerate aggressive or violent behaviour towards them or indeed towards members of the public attending our surgeries.
Any patient giving verbal abuse to members of staff or other patients may result in them being removed from the practice list.
The vast majority of our patients are a pleasure to deal with and we always appreciate your understanding and patience at busy times, and we are sure you understand our position.
Ukraine and Homeless Appeals
The Chorley Support for Ukraine Group and Chorley Help the Homeless group have advised that they are still desperate for any donations and we are continuing our efforts to help them.
Please drop off any toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, non-perishable foods, tins of pet food and also clean clothing at any of our surgeries during opening hours.
We would ask that you mark your bags accordingly if you have a preference as to which appeal you wish them to go to.
