You may be aware from our previous posts that Buckshaw Village Surgery is our Covid vaccination hub and that as from Monday, January 18, this site is being dedicated to the Covid vaccine rollout.
However, please could all patients note that phone lines to Buckshaw Village Surgery are still operating as normal and you are able to contact us by phone in the usual way for telephone triage appointments, prescriptions and other queries.
Our services including baby and midwife clinics, physiotherapy and practice nurse appointments will continue though please be advised that many of these clinics have been transferred to other sites on a temporary basis.
All patients affected are being contacted in advance and advised if their appointment has been transferred to another site.
With regards to the Covid vaccinations themselves, please be assured that we are proceeding with maximum urgency with the programme.
We are vaccinating as many patients as possible as swiftly as possible, and the entire programme is being conducted in line with Government instruction with regards to priority group.

Please could all other patients be advised that we will contact you when your priority group comes up for vaccination so please if possible do not contact the surgery to inquire about appointments.
Finally, please note that as you may be aware, administering of the first Covid vaccination dose to as many patients as possible has now been prioritised as per Government guidelines.
Therefore, administration of the second vaccine dose has been temporarily delayed, but please be assured all patients awaiting their second dose will be contacted in due course and within the time limit advised by the vaccine manufacturers.
