New Appointments System
You may be aware that a new appointments system is being brought in by the NHS across the country later this year.
Our owner and Clinical Director Dr Nimal Muttcumaru has put together a full explanation of the changes and what they mean to you as a patient.

Heatwave Health Issues
The current hot weather can be dangerous, and if you or someone else feels unwell with a high temperature, it may be heat exhaustion or heatstroke.
Symptoms include a headache, dizziness and confusion, loss of appetite and feeling sick, excessive sweating, cramps in the arms, legs and stomach and extreme thirst.
If someone is showing signs of heat exhaustion, move them to a cool place, get them to lie down and drink plenty of water or rehydration drinks.
Most people should start to feel better within 30 minutes, but if they do not improve, especially if they are having trouble breathing or lose consciousness, call 999 as they will need medical help.
Holiday jabs reminder
With the holiday season now upon us, those patients travelling abroad who think they may need vaccinations should submit an application form to their own surgery.
To do so, visit www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk and download a request form by clicking on the ‘Online Services’ tab, going to the ‘Who to See’ link under the ‘Book Appointments’ section then scrolling down to the ‘Travel Vaccinations’ link.
After completing the form, click submit and the form will go to your chosen site.
Once received, one of our nurses will then check it and get back to you to advise if vaccinations are needed and if so, which ones, and will make an appointment for you.
Alternatively, you can call at any of our surgeries and complete a hard copy form.
Please note you are advised to submit your form at least eight weeks before the date of travel to allow time for processing and appointments to be made.
